On Wednesday, June 11th, Whole Church Vacation Bible School (VBS) kicked off with a splash with children and adults of all ages enjoying a yummy taco dinner, learning more about Baptism, having fun in the sprinkler, and creating a HTLC VBS poster together.Â
If you were unable to go to whole church VBS on the 11th or want to come again, then join us on the 18th. Consider bringing dinner items. Sign up is in the gathering area outside the sanctuary or sign up using the link below. All are welcome!
*Note: In the event of inclement weather, we will still have Whole Church VBS, it will just move inside HTLC.
The 2025 ELCA Indiana-Kentucky Synod Assembly was held June 5-7th. Over 260 delegates met at the Crown Plaza Indianapolis Union Station. Linda Hedman and Stan Harlow attended from Holy Trinity. It was a blessed event. The Holy Spirit’s fire lit-up the hall. Newly elected Bishop Timothy Graham lead the Assembly with three heart-felt sermons, three solos, and kept his cool while leading the Assembly through several difficult parliamentary decisions. Five resolutions were considered, discussed, amended and voted on. It was great to see how the IK Synod works.
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is home base for a quilting group that makes quilts for people in need. The quilters group meets the second and fourth Mondays each month from 9 am to 3 pm in Room 108. Â
Quilting is one of the ministries that help us live our "God's Work, Our Hands".
Using the power of color and God gifted talents employed to make quilts , we can see an expression God’s creativity and love!Â
If you love sewing, quilting and fellowship, come join this group. Â The quilts this committee makes are used for local and worldwide ministry opportunities. We welcome all, teach as we need and have fun while we work.
Did you know that HTLC has an FM system that allows listeners to hear the speaker’s voice more clearly, independent of distance and background noise? Learn more and check out this month’s blog post.
The Wired Word is a weekly Bible study curriculum that connects the Bible to current events, open to everyone, seventh grade and older.Â
The curriculum includes Bible verses, commentary, discussion questions, and reference materials, designed to help people:Â
In this lesson the recent death of renowned Old Testament scholar Walter Brueggemann leads us to focus our time together on God’s abundance, wisdom, inclusion, justice and righteousness, and the impact of these truths on the practice of the Christian faith.
Join us on Sundays, at 9 A.M. in room 106 on the first floor.
This Bible Study group meets Sunday evenings via Zoom at 7 P.M. Please email the office in advance if you would like to participate online and a link will be sent Sunday morning. Â
This week we are studying Chapters 34 and 35. Books are available. Â
Reading one short chapter a week, the book follows the liturgical year & goes for an entire year. In addition to the short chapter, there are 3 Bible passages to read. Â
This class was held last year. Some started during Lent 2024. Everyone is welcome even if you weren’t able to participate before. Â
