Special Congregational Meeting

We will be having a special congregational meeting on September 20th following the worship service. The presentation and discussion of the revised constitution for the church will be on the agenda. The second item on the agenda will be a vote concerning the hosting of the Lafayette Urban Ministry 5th Quarter Program at Holy Trinity in the Summer of 2027. The third item will be the flat roof as it has been leaking.

Join Us October 3rd for the Community Fair

The fifth annual Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Community Fair will be conducted Saturday, October 3 from 11 am to 1 pm. Many hands make light work - we could use some additional volunteers on Friday, October 2 from 6 to 7 pm for set up. Also, on Saturday, starting at 9 am to complete set up, assisting in the booths (especially games) from 11 to 1, and following the fair to help with tear down. There are sign-up sheets in the narthex if you can help. Thrivent members, don’t forget to apply for grants to support our Community Fair. Please invite your friends and neighbors to attend!

Fall Bible Study and Sunday School

Bible Study and Sunday School will be continuing this fall, keep an eye out later this week for a full letter and schedule of events as we look forward to a year of learning and growing in Christ. There will be options for all ages from 0-109, so come and continue to grow in Christ this Fall starting the week after Labor Day from 9am to 9:45am.

Volunteer to Help at LTHC Homeless Services!

Lafayette Transitional Housing Center (LTHC) Homeless Services has been short-staffed, resulting in the facility closing at noon on Saturdays and Sundays.  The folks utilizing the services are given a sack lunch as they leave at noon. Members of Holy Trinity, the Conlons,  have been putting these lunches together and are looking to expand the number of lunches provided, with some help with supplies. The Wired Word

Join us on Sundays, at 9 A.M. in the Narthex on the first floor for The Wired Word. This weekly Bible study curriculum connects the Bible to current events, open to everyone, seventh grade and older. 

Topic for Sunday, September 6th: Young People Returning to Religious Practice, Say Reports

News outlets are reporting that Gen Z is reengaging in religious practice, with some churches packed with young people. Although the evidence of generational revival is thin, this week we will focus on the spiritual needs of young adults and what churches can do to engage Gen Z.
