We are looking forward to seeing you on May 2nd for our annual spring work day at Holy Trinity! Here are some examples of things we will need help with to help our space stay beautiful and maintained. Outdoor tasks include: stairwell and window well cleanup, mulching, cleaning leaves and sticks out of drive and medians, garage cleanup and weeding. Interior tasks include: caring for carpet, cleaning pews, freezers, refrigerators and nursery, dusting the window sills, tightening door knobs, checking for broken chairs and racking others.
Please also consider adopting a spot around the church to care for throughout the summer! See the poster near the coat racks for more information.Â
We still need some volunteers to read and help with communion for this Sunday, April 12th. If you would like to be a Reader, Communion Assistant, or Projectionist, please sign up at the SignUpGenius. There will also be a paper copy in the narthex.Â
The streaming team invites older youth (5th grade and up) and adult members to sign up to help with and/or observe how streaming Sunday worship service works. We ask those who have learned how to manage the audio to sign up for this task for Sundays they are available in April and May and if interested to sign up to observe and learn the streaming steps. We welcome others to observe the steps to manage the audio during worship. If you have questions, reach out to the streaming team: Bill Hillery or Kevin Hintzman. Please sign up HERE.Â
Not planning to transplant your Easter Bulbs? After the blooms fade, bring them back to the HTLC office. Girl Scout Troop 1394 will store the bulbs and plant them in the church flower beds this fall.Â
Next summer we will be looking to send a group of youth to the Gathering in Minneapolis. Every three years, thousands of high schoolers and their adult leaders from across the ELCA come together for the ELCA Youth Gathering. It's not just an event but a movement in which faith ignites and community comes alive.
Through inspiring speakers, experiential learning and transformative connections, young people experience the church in bold, unforgettable ways. Each night, participants share a unique faith experience through high-energy worship and powerful storytelling. The Gathering is an opportunity to ask big questions, grow in faith and be part of something bigger than yourself. Are you ready to join the movement?
Look for more information after Easter about an initial information meeting in May. Eligible youth are those that are currently in 7th - 11th grade. Contact Pastor if you are interested in attending or helping in the planning.Â
Join us on Sundays, at 9 A.M. in the Narthex on the first floor for The Wired Word. This weekly Bible study curriculum connects the Bible to current events, open to everyone, seventh grade and older.Â
Last year, the nonreligious share of the American population dropped again. The portion that is atheist-agnostic is back to the 2014 level. The Roman Catholic Church is seeing a rise in conversions in many areas. What is going on? This week we will focus on revival, conversion and church growth.
Read the news related to this topic before attending this bible study to be prepared for an engaging conversation.
Do you have an event to add to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Calendar?Â
Please fill out the HTLC event form so we have the necessary information to not only add it to the church calendar but also have the necessary details to highlight it in the ePistle, our website and social media if requested.Â
Thank you!
