Advent Peace Be With You!
December 2 is the First Sunday in Advent
How can we find calm, peace and time for reflective thought?
Advent traditions that have been part of the Lutheran church encourage us to prepare our hearts and minds. It is a time to focus on scripture, reflect on God working with us in our daily life, issues that should be confessed, and recognition of our need for forgiveness.
As you enter worship each Sunday, you’ve probably noticed the chapel across from the church office. You are always welcome to stop in the chapel to spend a little time. During Advent, the chapel offers a special place for Advent meditation. As you prepare your spirit for the promise of Jesus coming again, you can use the space to focus and pray. Members of the congregation have written a few prayers and placed them in the chapel for you to use if you like.
May the Holy Spirit fill you with peace and hope
this Advent season.
