As we cross into 2026, we want to recognize and thank all the volunteers that have helped Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (HTLC) with it's mission and outreach this past year. Each week we will focus on a different area of impact, focusing on these three areas: Sundays, Daily, and Special Events.
For our last week highlighting our HTLC volunteers, we want to focus on Special Events. Our special events are some of the ways we like to bless the community around us, which takes a lot of time, effort, and personnel to accomplish. We would like to thank all of the HTLC volunteers that help to make our events possible. Read our last blog about how HTLC volunteers made an impact: The HTLC Volunteer Impact in 2025 - Special Events.
Mark your calendars and pull out your cookbooks for this year's Chili Cookoff! The event also raised nearly $500 for Purdue Lutheran Ministry's (PLM) Food Ministry. If you aren't a cook, still come to enjoy dinner and vote for your favorites. Kid-friendly and vegetarian options will also be served. Sign up to bring part of the meal below:

A big thank you to the many helpers around the building over the last few weeks. Things like sharpening pencils in the pews, spreading salt on the walkway, filling attendance cards, taking down Christmas decorations and tearing down drywall have all been done by various volunteers. As pastor I want to thank all those who were involved in these and the many other daily functions of the church like: leading Sunday School, planning VBS, volunteering on a board, running the tech on Sunday, quilting, singing in the choir, acolyting and opening doors for others. I look forward to continuing to accomplish the word of Christ in this place and our community together!Â
- Pastor Marc

Join us on Sundays, at 9 A.M. in the Narthex on the first floor for The Wired Word. This weekly Bible study curriculum connects the Bible to current events, open to everyone, seventh grade and older.Â
Popular Christian author Philip Yancey has confessed to an eight-year extramarital affair and says he is retiring from writing and speaking. We will discuss personal failure, self-righteousness, forgiveness, grace, and finishing well.
Read the news related to this topic before attending this bible study to be prepared for an engaging conversation.
Do you have an event to add to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Calendar?Â
Please fill out the HTLC event form so we have the necessary information to not only add it to the church calendar but also have the necessary details to highlight it in the ePistle, our website and social media if requested.Â
Thank you!
